The G52L was an 11-panel car built 1991. The yellow ends designated cars that were part of a 1991 testing program for the new Electronic Air Braking System (EABS) on Conrail. The G52H Prototype page has more detailed info on the EABS program. Even though it is 1996 on a merchandise freight, CR 504160 still has its EABS equipment in place.

Sometimes the Hollidaysburg Car Shop paint crews sloppily spray painted the Conrail Quality heralds on these Coalporters, but the herald on CR 506030 is sharper than most.
