These former Erie Lackawanna refrigerator cars are easy to spot since they were equipped with a Hennessey power door opener on each side. Though Erie Lackawanna originally painted these cars a light blue, Conrail eventually repainted most of them. This car got repainted a light-orange color with simple CR reporting marks instead of the full Conrail logo.

The plates between the rivets show up well in this photo taken in the deep South on CSX. Due to excessive graffiti, Conrail had to re-apply the car numbers.

CR 369245 took some damage to the one end. Notice the unusual spacing of the Conrail herald, which looks like the old days when Conrail was spelled as two words.

One of the last in the X73 series and repainted in the Quality scheme. Of course, I had to catch it while I was out using my point-and-shoot instead of OM10! Oh well.
