Lead unit of HBBE (Harrisburg-Enola Yard, PA - Bethlehem, PA) pulling out of Reading Yard. Note the worn black anti-glare/skid paint on the nose roof; this seemed typical of these units. Also note that the nose access door is now on the engineer's side, unlike the SD60M, which had it on the conductor side.

Conrail SD60I 5638 leads eastbound TV-22 (Chicago, IL - Baltimore, MD) as it passes CP 83. TV-22 was a trailer on flatcar and container on flatcar intermodal, but as can be seen in this photos Conrail considered well-cars under the same train classification as "flatcar" in their schedules.

Feeling that Conrail would be fading away in the coming years, I began shooting as many locomotives from the front and rear when possible. Wyomissing made this possible, since many freights had to slow down or stop at the signal, allowing me to take those shots.
