Conrail inherited two GP-9's from the Lehigh Valley, LV 300 and LV 301, which became CR 7476 and CR 7477 respectively. If you like weathering and the transition days of Conrail, as I do, you'll love the challenge this locomotive poses. Looks like the paint has worn off down to the primer in many spots. LV 300 was already worn and 20 years old when Arnie shot this in 1977. By 1982, as Robert Palmer's photo of it above in CR stencils show, it was even worse.
