A more interesting paint-out scheme, the 8045 has a large Conrail on the nose but a smaller Conrail in the middle of the long hood. We will have to guess what the logo on the rear nose looked like, unless I get a photo of it.

I honestly cannot find the CR stencil on the side of this unit, just on the nose. Since the full PC logo is in excellent shape, I doubt if the long hood logos even got painted out. The "Penn Central" is simply worn off.

This unit had its ditch lights recently applied when this was taken--notice how the casings shine? Also note the black rubber gasket around the conductor's door? This adds a nice prototypical touch to your model and sets it apart from other geeps. Was paired with 8121 below on HBBE. Former PC 8088. Built 1973.

This unit has recently been repainted into the Quality scheme when I shot this photo. Unfortunately, Conrail was not big on stripping units before repainting. As a result, the rust quickly resurfaced. 8121 was a middle unit on HBBE (Harrisburg - Bethlehem) that day and paired with 8088 above. Former PC 8121.

For a freshly repainted locomotive with new ditch lights, 8123 sure has some problems. Where is the middle section of the white stripe on the running board? What happened to some of the nose lettering? Built 1973.
