 Conrail Cyclopedia Quality!

ALCo introduced the 2,000hp RS-32 in 1961, ending production the next year with only 32 units having been manufactured. They ride on four-wheel AAR Type B trucks. By 1979 only 6 Conrail RS-32's were still on active roster: CR 2028, 2029, 2031, 2035, 2040, and 2042. A few years later, all were gone. Photo taken when this unit was sold to the Maryland & Delaware Railroad in 1982.
