Not many of these units got repainted, therefore CR 6789 (former PC 6339) was lucky to have a fresh paint job before being retired.

ALCo's C-636's were an oddball model that Conrail was all too happy to retire as soon as possible instead of trying to constantly repair. Not even the Penn Central owned many of these tempermental beasts. Here we see xPC 6790 (former PC 6340) still in service but nearing the end of its life on Big Blue.

xPC 6791 (former PC 6341) has been out of service and on the dead line for a while now, along with most of the ALCo power Conrail inherited.
