ALCo's C-636's were an oddball model that Conrail was all too happy to retire as soon as possible instead of trying to constantly repair. Not even Penn Central owned many of these temperamental beasts. Here we see Conrail #6790 (former Penn Central #6340) still in service but nearing the end of its life on Big Blue.
