A rare glimpse into history. Could this have been Conrail's official paint scheme? These Sam Rea Paint Shop execs sure are proud of it on April 2, 1976. What do you think of the scheme? Thanks to Kieth Burkey for digging this up at an Altoona flea market.

A genuine Conrail end of train device from 1998. I believe there were a few different versions used?

Photo of a worn emblem on a Conrail police car in 1999 shortly before the take-over. This is a sight we'll never get to see again now that CSX and NS have taken over the railroad.

Rob shot the trailer in a Valley Forge industrial park in July 1999 after the CSX take over. I used to know the fellow, Dick, who did the detailing on this trailer. His shop was located in Spring Township in PA at the Country Fresh Laundromat, which he also owned. I often saw him--just one man--climbing all over it, giving it a thorough cleaning while we did our laundry. Do you think I ever took a photo of him doing it? Oh well.

Poster art for EMD's Reading Company GP-30's. While not exactly Conrail, this poster is a fond memory for me. Hope you like it, too. If anyone has any other interesting Conrail or predecessor promo material, I'll gladly post it.

Tom Wolgang's drawing of an F-7A in blue from the Transition Era. I hope to have more schematics like this to accompany the locomotive features.
