John Durant - A gleaming 6909 SD-9 leads APB-2 local from Allentown to Bethlehem, PA on February 28, 1980. This was one of two SD-9's that became famous working the Allentown Hump Yard during the first several years of Conrail.

John Durant - On March 24, 1978 a large 'CONRAIL' stenciled GP-30 xPC 2222 leads GP-38 xPC 8089 and U23B CR 2744 on SEG-1 at the old station in Bethlehem, PA, in a scene that is long gone. Everything rail-related in the photo is history. Even the ramp is gone.

John Durant - A new GP-40-2 (CR 3322) leads two other geeps on TV6-8 at CP-132 in Selkirk, NY.

John Durant - John remembers back to March 24, 1978 when the number 6034 wasn't a Dash-8 but was an SD-35 with Conrail stencils over the old PC numbers.

Passing through Red Bank, NY on December 6, 1977 is ER-2 lead by CR 7163 and followed by xCNJ 1522 GP-7 in the Coast Guard scheme, and two xCNJ RS-3's.
