The four U36B's that Conrail purchased in 1976 were originally built for Auto Train but never delivered due to AT's financial difficulties at the time. The units were built to Seaboard Coast Line specs, but, as time progressed, Conrail removed some of these ACL details.The roster below covers those units operated by Conrail between April 1976 and the retirement of the final unit. All of the units were retired prior to June 1999.
