During the early 1980s the surviving U33C's were renumbered into the 6800 series, which Conrail had originally assigned to RSD12s, in order to make room for new C30-7A's. 6845 sits in the scrap line at Selkirk. Kevin says that all EL U33C's were numbered 3301-3315, and were delivered in two groups. 3301-3306 were built in 1968, and were delivered with the nose emblem in reverse paint, similar to a photo negtive.
