HTe Hoppers: Atlas N
During July and August 1971 the Reading Company assembled a total of 200 45-foot, 12-panel, 100-ton, 3-bay HTe class hoppers from prefabricated Bethlehem Steel Car kits and assigned them to series RDG 41650-41849. All the cars were painted in the classic Reading "speed lettering" scheme.
Atlas makes a close predecorated model of the Reading Company HTe hopper, though it does lack details such as end braces, chord reinforcements, and correct end/side ladders. For a more detailed description of these features, check the HO Modeling page. The same techniques there can also apply to the N scale model, if you wish, though adding them would be more difficult.
